Met coke imports via Gangavaram up 51.25% in April m-o-m

May 8: Imports of met coke via Gangavaram Port stood at 17,734 tons in April 2014, up 51.25% from 11,725 tons imported during the previous month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During the entire financial year of 2013-14, total met coke imports via the port stood at 132,075 tons.

During April 2014, 12,484 tons came from Italy at a price range of Rs 13,737-Rs 16,768 ($227-$277) per ton.

However, in March 2014, a volume of 7,000 tons came in from Italy at Rs 14,390 ($233) per ton while the balance 4,725 tons came from Russia at a price of Rs 16,094 ($260) per ton.
