Imports of met coke via Magdalla Port stood at 92,253 tons in December 2015, down 17.40% from 111,690 tons imported in November 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first nine months (April-December) of the current fiscal (2015-16), met coke imports via Magdalla Port stood at 846,185 tons while a volume of 130,525 tons were imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In December 2015, out of the entire import volume, 23,991 tons came from in Australia at a price range of Rs 6,944-Rs 9,280 ($103-$138) per ton, 9,929 tons from China at a price range of Rs 9,775-Rs 9,933 ($145-$148) per ton, 24,000 tons from Japan at a price range of Rs 11,049-Rs 11,141 ($166-$166) per ton and 34,333 tons from Poland at a price range of Rs 11,701-Rs 11,710 ($174-$174) per ton.
In November 2015, out of the entire import volume, 6,998 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 6,841-Rs 9,135 ($103-$137) per ton, 48,363 tons from China at a price range of Rs 9,921-Rs 10,465 ($150-$160) per ton, 21,329 tons from Japan at a price range of Rs 11,049-Rs 11,218 ($166-$168) per ton and 35,000 tons from Poland at a price range of Rs 11,379-Rs 11,527 ($172-$174) per ton.
