Met coke imports via New Mangalore down 37.89% in Aug m-o-m

October 1: Met coke imports through the port of New Mangalore stood at 37,455 tons in August 2013, down 37.89% from 60,302 tons in July 2013, as per information available with ICMW.
The import of coking coal import through the port during first five months of FY'14 stood at 190,257 tons while there was nil import during the corresponding period of previous financial year.
Following is the monthly break-up of met coke imports via New Mangalore:

In August 2013, the entire material came from China at a price of Rs 17,472 ($283) per ton.
However, during July 2013, 32,802 tons came from China at a price of Rs 16,383 ($271) per ton while 27,500 tons came from Ukraine at a price of Rs 17,287 ($286) per ton.
