Met coke imports via Paradip spurt 162% in Mar m-o-m

April 13: A volume of 95,120 tons of met coke was imported through Paradip Port in March 2015 against 36,298 tons in February 2015, showing a huge spurt of over 162%, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
In March 2014, volumes were higher at 101,480 tons.
Total met coke imports through the port during the financial year of 2014-15 dropped marginally by 3.42% to 711,612 tons against 736,796 tons during 2013-14.

In March, 72,464 tons arrived from China in a price range of 8,653 – 13,641 ($137-217) per ton while 22,657 tons arrived from Colombia in a price range of 10,712 – 17,768 ($117-283) per ton.
In February, a consignment arrived from China at a unit price of 12,147 ($193).
