Mining sector receives Rs 34,373.27 cr FDI in H1

December 1: Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) equity inflow into the mining sector stood at Rs 3,437.27 crore ($516.65 million) between April-September, 2015-16, an official release said.
The FDI inflow during the first half of 2015-16 was 75% of the total inflow of Rs 4,553.24 crore in entire 2014-15, the release said.
Recently, the government simplified the FDI policy in the mining sector and it is expected that the country would be benefitted by the increased investment in the sector.
