Minister asks Ennore Port to maintain project deadlines

September 17: Shipping Minister G K Vasan has asked Ennore Port to adhere to the deadlines given for commissioning the port development project, an official release said.

After reviewing the progress of the port, Vasan has urged the port authorities to adhere to the timelines for achieving targets on performance indicators and on commissioning of port development projects, the release added.

Meanwhile, the port has reported an increase of 78% in net profit for the year 2012-13 to Rs 173 crore from Rs 96.72 crore in the previous financial year and has given Rs 40 crore as dividend to the government.
