Ministry of Coal signs production agreement with NTPC

The Ministry of Coal has signed a Coal Development and Production Agreement (CMDPA) for Mandakini B coal mine with NTPC Ltd in accordance with the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Act, 2015.

The agreement was signed at the beginning of July, as per an update provided by the ministry.

In addition, the ministry has issued the vesting order of Ardhagram coal mine to OCL Iron and Steel Limited consequent to the dismissal of the writ petition by the Calcutta High Court.

Meanwhile, allotment orders too have been issued to Odisha Mineral Development Company and Kerwa Coal Limited (a JV of Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation and M P State Mining Corporation Ltd) for Brahmini coal block and Kerwa coal block respectively in July.
