Ministry postpones e-auction process for PSDF

May 11: The Ministry of Power, which had decided to start the e-auction process for the power system development fund (PSDF) support under the scheme for utilisation of the stranded gas-based generation capacity on May 11, has postponed the process by a day and the auction will now be held on May 12.

“On the request of gas-based power plant developers, the e-auction process for PSDF support under the scheme for utilisation of the stranded gas-based power plants, which was scheduled to start today at 11 am, has been postponed by one day and the auction will start on May 12 at 11 am,” a release by the ministry said on May 11.

It was earlier planned that the e-auction would be done on May 11 while reverse e-auction would be held for stranded gas-based power plants on May 12.

The reverse e-auction would take place for the plants, which are receiving some domestic gas and running at sub-optimal levels.
