Ministry seeks NTPC, NLC views on block allocation process

September 13: The Ministry of Coal has asked NTPC Ltd and Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd (NLC) to examine the draft of model coal mine development and production agreement for regionally explored (RE) blocks and come up with their views by September 20, an official said.

Earlier, CRISIL had drafted the model agreement and had submitted to the ministry.

"The ministry wants to get views of the leading contenders before going ahead with the suggestions made by CRISIL," the official said.
