April 3: Very strong demand was witnessed for mixed grade coal offered in the e-auctions conducted on the coaljunction platform during March 2014 as out of 223,450 tons of coal offered, 156,640 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,801/ton.
In February 2014, very strong demand was witnessed for mixed grade coal offered in the e-auctions conducted on the coaljunction platform as out of 159,400 tons of coal offered, 157,050 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,909/ton.
However, during the month of January 2014, out of 182,000 tons of mixed grade coal offered, 92,460 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,928 per ton.
