June 4: Very strong demand was witnessed for mixed grade coal offered in the e-auctions conducted on the coaljunction platform during May 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 125,550 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,981/ton.
Compared to May, a somewhat lesser demand was witnessed for mixed grade coal offered in the e-auctions conducted on the coaljunction platform during April 2014 as out of 181,750 tons offered, 154,610 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,949/ton.
However, in March 2014, demand was even lower as out of 223,450 tons offered, only 156,640 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,801/ton.
