MoC seeks applications from govt cos for Talcher blocks

December 23: The Ministry of Coal (MoC), through an official release, is seeking applications from eligible government companies and corporations (who have been awarded power projects), the latter through their respective state governments for allocating of coal blocks.

The coal blocks that will be up for allocation are all in Talcher coalfields and include Karadabahal, Brahmanbil, Phulajhari East and Phulajhari West.

The applications, which will be examined in consultation with the Ministry of Power, must reach the MoC offices on or before January 10, by 4 pm.
