MoC sets up panel for selecting mining plan experts

July 22: A committee has been set up under the Ministry of Coal for conducting interviews for selecting “recognised qualified persons” (RQP) who would be competent in preparing mining plans for coal and lignite blocks under Rule 22 © i of the Mineral Concession Rule, 1960, according to an official release.

These RQPs would be required to prepare mining plans, including those relating to mine closures.
