May 28: Good demand was witnessed in April 2014 for G-10 grade (GCV 4,301 to 4,600 Kcal/kg) coal offered by NCL, CCL and MCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as 140,000 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 160,000 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 1,954 per ton.
However, good demand was witnessed in March 2014 for G-10 grade coal offered by CCL and MCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as 49,980 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 56,250 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 1,620 per ton.
On the other hand, moderate demand was witnessed in February 2014 for G-10 grade coal offered by CCL and NCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as only 261,608 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 327,178 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,023 per ton.
