March 26: Moderate demand was witnessed in February 2014 for G-10 grade (GCV 4,301 to 4,600 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL and NCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as only 261,608 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 327,178 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,023 per ton.
However, poor demand was witnessed in January 2014 for G-10 grade coal offered by MCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as only 15,250 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 115,000 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,412 per ton.
On the other hand, a very strong demand was witnessed in December 2013 for G10 grade coal offered by CCL and NCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the entire offered quantity of 265,138 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,873 per ton.
