Moderate demand for G-12 grade coal in Oct e-auction

November 6: A moderate demand was witnessed for G12 (GCV between 3700 and 4000 Kcal/kg) grade coal offered in the e-auctions conducted on the coaljunction platform during October 2013 as 270,000 tons of the offered quantity of 315,800 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1201/ton.

However, a moderate demand was witnessed for the same variety during September 2013 as 878,000 tons of the offered quantity of 1,000,000 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1267/ton.

On the other hand, there was strong demand for G-12 grade coal in the e-auctions conducted on the coaljunction platform during August 2013 as 171,450 tons of the offered quantity of 180,450 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1084/ton.
