October 21: Moderate demand was witnessed for G-3 grade coal (GCV between 6,401 and 6,700 Kcal/kg) offered for allotment via the e-auction platform of MSTC Ltd during September as out of 21,500 tons of coal offered by Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) and Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) around 11,600 tons got allotted.
On the other hand, in August, out of 71,922 tons of this grade offered by CCL, SECL, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and ECL, around 59,772 tons had got allotted.
The weighted average price of this grade in September was at Rs 4,889.45 against August's Rs 4,524.98.
