February 24: There was a moderate demand for G-5 grade (GCV 5,801 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) coal offered by five subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd (CIL) for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in January 2014, as 70,050 tons got allotted against the offered quantity of 104,600 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 3,158 per ton.
However, there was good demand for G-5 grade coal offered by four subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd (CIL) for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in December 2013, as 164,130 tons got allotted against the offered quantity of 184,130 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 3,783 per ton.
On the other hand, in November, there was good demand for G-5 grade coal offered by five subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC, as 79,500 tons got allotted against the offered quantity of 86,160 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 3,230 per ton.
