May 7: G-8 grade coal (GCV range 4,900-5,200 Kcal/kg) offered by three subsidiaries of CIL met with moderate demand during April 2014 as 75.76% of the total offered quantity got allotted. Quantity offered stood at 117,680 tons while the total allotted quantity stood at 89,159 tons in March whereas the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,691/ton.
However, during March 2014, quantity offered stood at 207,000 tons while the total allotted quantity stood at 127,310 tons in March whereas the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,334/ton.
During February 2014, the coal offered stood at 208,880 tons and the total allotted quantity stood at 99,006 tons whereas the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,458/ton.
