August 5: There was moderate demand for G3 grade coal (GCV ranging between 6,400 Kcal/kg and 6,700 Kcal/kg) on the e-auction platform of coaljunction in July 2014 as 4,550 tons or 56.88% of the offered quantity of 8,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,516/ton.
On the other hand, there was strong demand for this grade on the e-auction platform of coaljunction in June 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 1,500 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,481/ton.
There was good demand for G3 grade coal on the e-auction platform of coaljunction in May as 94.83% of the offered quantity had got allotted. Out of a total quantity of 31,850 tons offered, 30,203 tons had got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month had stood at Rs 4,895/ton.
