January 7: There was moderate demand for G5 grade coal (GCV range 5,800 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) on the e-auction platform of coaljunction in December 2014 as out of the entire offered quantity of 363,350 tons, 173,100 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,039/ton.
In fact, there was fair demand for G5 grade coal in November 2014 as out of the entire offered quantity of 228,250 tons, 214,070 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,532/ton.
However, there was high demand for G5 grade on coaljunction in October 2014 as out of the entire offered quantity of 78,440 tons, 78,435 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,911/ton.
