February 4: There was moderate demand for G5 grade coal (GCV range 5,800 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) on the e-auction platform of coaljunction in January 2015 as out of the entire offered quantity of 242,950 tons, 139,070 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,015/ton.
There was also moderate demand for this grade in December as out of the entire offered quantity of 363,350 tons, 173,100 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,039/ton.
In fact, there was fair demand for G5 grade in November 2014 as out of the entire offered quantity of 228,250 tons, 214,070 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,532/ton.
