December 23: There was moderate demand for G5 grade (GCV 5,801 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) coal offered by the subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd (CIL) for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in November 2015, as out of the entire offered quantity of 462,950 tons, merely 94,704 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,563 per ton, as per data available with ICMW.
There was similar kind of moderate demand for G5 grade coal offered by the subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd (CIL) for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in October 2015, as out of the entire offered quantity of 466,480 tons, merely 178,130 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,191 per ton.
However, there was poor demand for G5 grade offered by the subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through MSTC in September 2015, as out of the entire offered quantity of 759,790 tons, merely 71,480 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,109 per ton.
