December 7: Moderate demand was witnessed in the auction of G7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal on coaljunction in November 2015 as out of the entire offering of 184,200 tons by WCL, SECL and CCL, a volume of 86,810 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,414 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
Similar kind of demand was witnessed in the auction of G7 grade coal on coaljunction in October 2015 as out of the entire offering of 737,688 tons by NCL, WCL, SECL and CCL, around 389,558 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,870 per ton.
In September, an extremely poor demand was witnessed in the auction of G7 grade coal as out of the entire offering of 19,800 tons by WCL, only 200 tons were allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,748 per ton.
