March 6: G8 grade coal (GCV range 4,900-5,200 Kcal/kg) offered by four subsidiaries of CIL met with moderate demand during February 2014 as 47.39% of the total offered quantity of 208,880 tons got allotted. The total allotted quantity stood at 99,006 tons whereas the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,458/ton.
However, during January 2014 out of 219,944 tons offered, 251,260 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,518/ton.
During December 2013, 54.95% of the total offered quantity of 246,000 tons got allotted. The total allotted quantity stood at 135,180 tons whereas the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,184/ton.
