March 26: Moderate demand was witnessed for washery grade (W3 & W4) coking coal offered by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) for allotment through the MSTC platform during February 2014.
In February 2014, a total of 172,050 tons of coking coal were offered for allotment out of which 134,200 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,113 per ton.
In January 2014, a strong demand was witnessed for coking coal e-auction as a total of 288,900 tons were offered for allotment and 286,980 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,066 per ton.
During December 2013, a total of 291,540 tons of the material were offered for allotment out of which 291,520 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,033 per ton.
