Mudajaya sign agreement with SECL for 20 year coal supply pact

Mudajaya Corporation Bhd has signed an agreement with India based South Eastern Coalfields Limited for the supply of coal for the next 20 years.
Mudajaya said that the agreement was signed by its wholly owned subsidiary RKM Powergen Pvt Limiited for the supply of coal for Phase I of the 4x360 MW coal fired thermal power plant at Ucchpinda, Chhattisgarh, India.
Mudajaya added that the agreement shall remain in force until the end of 20 years, which could be extended upon mutual agreement by both parties or of the life of the power plant.
It said that the annual contracted quantity of coal supply was 1.69 million tonnes and that the delivered price of coal shall be the sum of base price.
The company further added that other charges and statutory charges, as applicable at the time of delivery of the coal, would be at the prevailing price of approximately USD 25 per tonne.
