Imports of gypsum via Mundra Port increased sharply to 44,461 tons in December 2015 from 389 tons in November, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In December 2014, gypsum imports via Mundra Port stood at 22,237 tons.
For the first nine months (April-December) of the current fiscal (2015-16), gypsum imports through Mundra Port decreased 23.72% to 86,650 tons from 113,599 tons imported in the same period of last year.

In December 2015, a volume of 50 tons came in from China at a price range of Rs 15,330-Rs 22,943 ($228-$341) per ton135 tons come from Iran at a unit price of Rs 3,868-($58) per ton and the remaining 44277 tons from Oman at a range of Rs 1,074-Rs 9,503 ($16-$141) per ton.
In November 2015, a volume of 81 tons came in from Egypt at a unit price of Rs 10,509 ($158) per ton and the remaining 308 tons from Oman at a range of Rs 3,989-Rs 9,433 ($60-$141) per ton.
