Mumbai Port coal handling falls 49% in Oct m-o-m

November 26: Coal handling at Mumbai Port stood at 101,000 tons in October 2014, down 48.99% as compared to 198,000 tons reported in the previous month, according to a compilation by the Indian Ports Association.

During the corresponding month of the previous year, coal handling at the port stood at 442,000 tons.

During the first seven months (April-October) of 2014-15, total coal handled by the port stood at 2,343,000 tons while the figure stood at 2,277,797 tons in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
