Mundra Jan coking coal imports up 94% m-o-m

February 19: Coking coal imports through Mundra Port in January 2015 rose almost 93.76% to 79,101 tons from 40,825 tons recorded in December 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In January 2014, coking coal imports via the port stood at 49,364 tons.
Total imports of coking coal through Mundra Port during the first 10 months of 2014-15 stood at 887,078 tons against 924,566 tons reported during the same period of the previous financial year.

In January 2015, the entire material came from Australia at a price range of Rs 7,248-Rs 9,197 ($116-$144) per ton whereas during December 2014, the entire material came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 6,233-Rs 9,010 ($100-$144) per ton.
