Mundra Jan gypsum imports down sharply m-o-m

Imports of gypsum via Mundra Port decreased sharply to 628 tons in January 2016, from 44,461 tons in December 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In January 2015, gypsum imports via the port had stood at 498 tons.
For the first 10 months (April-January) of the current fiscal (2015-16), gypsum imports through Mundra Port decreased 23.51% to 87,277 tons from 114,096 tons imported in the same period of last year.

In January 2016, a volume of 81 tons came in from Iran at a unit price of Rs 3,849 ($158) per ton, 347 tons came from Oman at a price range of Rs 3,981-Rs 9,673 ($59-$141) and the remaining 200 tons from Saudi Arabia at a range of Rs 9,034-Rs 9,161 ($132-$134) per ton.
In December 2015, a volume of 50 tons came in from China at a price range of Rs 15,330-Rs 22,943 ($228-$341) per ton, 135 tons from Iran at a unit price of Rs 3,868-($58) and the remaining 44,277 tons from Oman at a range of Rs 1,074-Rs 9,503 ($16-$141) per ton.
