December 28: Limestone imports through the port of Mundra decreased 11.20% to 4819 tons in November 2015 from 5,359 tons in October, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
During the first eight months (April-November) of the current fiscal (2015-16), limestone imports through the port stood at 91,641 tons.

Of the total limestone imports in November, 108 tons came from China at a price range of Rs 11,881-Rs 12,126 ($179-$182) per ton, 1,315 tons came from Greece at Rs 6,352 ($95) per ton, 133 tons came from Iran at Rs 2,414 ($36) per ton, 2,438 tons from Malaysia at a price range of Rs 3,159- Rs 4,0133877 ($47-$59) per ton, 120 tons arrived from Oman at a price of Rs 6,686 ($101) per ton, 373 tons came from United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the rate of Rs 6,341-Rs 7,426 ($95-$111) per ton 331 tons came from Vietnam at a range of 4,145-Rs 8,692 ($63-$130) per ton.
In October 2015, a volume of 108 tons came from China at a price range of Rs 10,489-Rs 12,153 ($159-$186) per ton, 1,576 tons from Greece at a range of Rs 6,347-Rs 6,481 ($96-$98) per ton, 1,431 tons from Malaysia at Rs 3,828-Rs 3,971 ($59-$60) per ton and the remaining 2,244 tons from Vietnam at a price range of Rs 3,938- Rs 4,491 ($60-$69) per ton.
