Coking coal imports through Mundra Port declined 5.36% to 1.06 million tons (mt) in 2015-16 as compared to 1.12 mt imported in 2014-15, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Meanwhile, imports in March 2016, increased 2.77% to 96,300 tons from 93,700 tons imported in February, 2016, the data revealed.
In March 2015, coking coal imports via Mundra Port had stood at 25,000 tons.

In March 2016, around 81,300 tons of non-coking coal came from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,156-Rs 6,150 ($76-$90) per ton and 15,000 tons came from Mozambique at a unit price of Rs 5975 ($88).
In February 2016, around 78,700 tons of non-coking coal came from Indonesia at a price range of Rs 5,190-Rs 6,191 ($76-$90) per ton, 15,000 tons came from Mozambique at a unit price of Rs 6,015 ($88).
