Mundra’s Nov coking coal imports dip 47% m-o-m

December 21: Coking coal imports through the port of Mundra decreased 47.28% to 47,967 tons in November 2015 from 91,000 tons in October 2015, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
In November 2014, coking coal imports via Mundra Port had stood at 202,586 tons.
For the first eight (April-November) of the current fiscal (2015-16), coking coal imports through Mundra Port decreased 16.89% to 637,521 tons against 767,152 tons imported in the same period of the previous fiscal.

In November 2015, a volume of 32,967 tons of the material came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,986-Rs 6,754 ($90-$102) per ton and 15,000 tons from Mozambique at a price range of Rs 4,367-Rs 4,423 ($67) per ton.
In October, a volume of 72,000 tons of the material came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,865-Rs 6,749 ($90-$102) per ton and 19,000 tons from Mozambique at a price range of Rs 4,320-Rs 6,358 ($67-$95) per ton.
