Mundra’s aluminium imports in Dec up 48% m-o-m

Aluminum imports through Mundra Port stood at 5,901 tons, up 27.23% compared to 4,635 tons in November 2015, as per the provisional data available with ICMW.

In December 2015, total imports comprised of 130 tons of flat products, 630 tons of long product, 4,193 tons of scrap, 28 tons of wire and wire rods and 920 tons of other aluminium products.

Of the total imports in December 2015, as much as 1296.54 tons came from the United Arab Emirates, 270.74 tons came from Saudi Arabia, 335.82 tons came from the United States, 519.54 tons from China, among other countries.

In November 2015, total imports comprised of 81 tons of flat products, 678 tons of long product, 3,451 tons of scrap, 36 tons of wire and wire rods and 390 tons of other aluminium products.
