Mundra steam coal imports down 40% in Feb m-o-m

March 31: Non-coking coal imports through the port of Mundra stood at 11,23,561 tons in February 2015, down 39.57 % from 18,59,338 tons recorded in the previous month, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
In February 2014, non-coking coal imports via the port stood at 1,680,164 tons.
In February 2015, out of entire import volume of 1,123,561 tons of non-coking coal imported via Mundra Port, 500 tons came from Australia at a price of Rs 4,646/ton ($74/ton), 1,048,061 tons came from Indonesia at various prices and 75,000 tons at price of Rs 5,059/ton ($81/ton).
In January 2015, out of the entire import volume of 1,859,338 tons, 43,000 tons came from Canada at a price of Rs 6339/ton ($102/ton), 1,496,494 tons came from Indonesia at various prices, 195,121 tons came from South Africa at various prices and 184,723 tons from the US at various prices.
