NCL’s rakes scenario for e-auctioned coal worsens

The availability of rakes at various projects of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) for loading of e-auctioned coal has worsened a little over the last one month, according to information available with ICMW.
At the Bina project, the pendency has gone up to 24 days as of February 16 from 12 days in early January.
The pendency has also gone up for the Jhingurda project to 24 days from 10 days over the same period.
In Jayant, the pendency for regular allotment has gone up from zero to more than two months as of February 16. Similarly, for special e-auction, pendency of rakes has doubled from 1 month to 2 months during the period.
There, however, was a reduction in pendency at Dudhichua and Krishnashila projects.
Altogether, there were 84 allotments awaiting rakes for loading at various projects of NCL as of February 16.
