NSPCL floats IFB to procure 0.78 mt of imported coal

August 26: NTPC-SAIL Power Company Private Limited (NSPCL), a joint venture of NTPC and SAIL, has floated an invitation for bids (IFB) notice for procurement of 0.78 million tons (mt) of imported coal, according to information available with ICMW.

This coal will be procured ‘FOR destination’ basis for the Bhilai Power Plant-III (2X250 MW) located in Durg district, Chattisgarh.

The material to be procured should have a GCV of 5,300-5,800 Kcal/Kg with total moisture content of up to 32%, ash content of up to 20%, sulphur content of up to 1% while the size of the material should be up to 50mm.

Interested parties can submit their bids till October 7, 2014 up to 2.30 pm while the techno-commercial bids will open on the same date, at 3 pm.

According to data available with ICMW, NSPCL had imported about 114,000 tons of coal during the first four months of 2014-15 (April-July).
