NTPC-GSI sign MoU for Tattapani geo-thermal DPR

January 8: NTPC Limited, India's largest power utility, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Geological Survey of India (GSI) for preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) for the geo-thermal power project at Tattapani, Chhattisgarh, the company said in a statement.

The MoU was signed by Ajit Kumar, ED (Business Development) of NTPC and P B Sarolkar, Deputy Director General, GSI, on behalf of their organisations in presence of Thomas Joseph, ED (NETRA), NTPC, Arun K Gupta, GM (BD), S. Raina, General Manager (REDG), Sanjiv Sharma, Deputy Director General, GSI and S D Patbhaje, GSI.

NTPC has already signed an MoU with the Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA), Government of Chhattisgarh, for setting up a power project within the Tattapani geothermal field.
