NTPC adds 4,415 MW within 28 months of 12th Plan

August 19: NTPC Ltd has added a total of 4,415 MW of generation capacity during the first 28 months of the current (12th) Five-Year Plan (2012-13 to 2016-17), an official said.

Of the total capacity addition, 4,320 MW was coal-fired and 95 MW renewables, the official added.

The company has set a capacity addition target of 11,148 MW for the 12th Five-Year Plan of which 9,810 MW will be coal-fired, 1,320 MW under hydro and 18 MW from renewables, the official said.
