NTPC air-conditioning pilot plant using waste heat

November 6: NTPC Ltd on November 6 said it has installed a 100 ton waste flue gas based air conditioning pilot plant at its Ramagundam Thermal Power Station.
The pilot plant, inaugurated by the company's Director (Technical) A K Jha, is designed in-house by NETRA, the R&D wing of NTPC, the company said in a release.
The system is a greenhouse gas free air conditioning system, utilizing waste heat from flue gas of a 500-MW coal-based power plant at Ramagundam STPS, the release said, adding, four control rooms of the power station have been air conditioned from this system.
