NTPC chairman given additional charge of DVC

November 29: NTPC Ltd Chairman and Managing Director Arup Roy Choudhury was, on November 28, given additional charge of Chairman of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), an official release said.

Roy Choudhury, who took over as CMD of NTPC on September 01, 2010, will be chairman of DVC till appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders.

Roy Choudhury has the distinction of becoming the youngest chief executive officer of a central public sector enterprise (CPSE) at the age of 44 when he joined as Chairman & Managing Director, National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC), on April 3, 2001.
