NTPC commissions 45 MW capacity for solar project in Rajasthan
09 Mar 2017
NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation), the state run power giant, today announced that they will be adding 45 MW solar capacity at Bhadla in Rajasthan to upgrade the installed capacity of the project to 160 MW.
115 MW capacity out of 260 MW in Bhadla solar power project was commissioned by NTPC last month.
NTPC has also planned to commission more than 1000 MW with the help of renewable energy, by 2017. NTPC is aiming to become a 130-GW company by the end of 2032.
NTPC is massively promoting renewable energy and their future projects are likely to be dominated by green energy.
Last year solar power tariff took a nose dive as a Finland based solar power company quoted Rs 4.34 a unit to bait the mandate to build a 70MW solar plant under NTPC’s Bhadla solar park tender.
