NTPC pays interim dividend worth Rs 618.41 crore

February 17: NTPC Limited, the largest power utility in the country, has paid an interim dividend of Rs 618.41 crore, being 7.5% of the paid-up equity share capital of the company, it said in a statement.
The advice for the transfer of Rs 463.55 crore to the Government of India was presented by Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD, NTPC, to Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (independent charge) for Power, Coal And New & Renewable Energy in the presence of K Biswal, Director (Finance), NTPC, I J Kapoor, Director (Commercial), NTPC, U P Pani, Director (Human Resources), NTPC, S C Pandey, Director (Projects), NTPC and K K Sharma, Director (Operations), NTPC, the statement added.
NTPC has paid dividend for the 22nd consecutive year, the statement further added.
