NTPC’s Koldam hydro power station achieves record PLF

Koldam Hydro Project, a NTPC India's (4x200 MW) hydel power generation in Himachal Pradesh on River Satluj, has achieved the highest plant load factor (PLF) of 107.27% among all Central and state sector power stations in the country in July, 2016, according to a company release.
Koldam HPS has also achieved the declared capacity of 110.10% in May, 2016 which is the highest in the country for the month of May, 2016.
Koldam began its commercial operation on July 18, 2015 and in FY 2015-16 generated 1794.71 million units of electricity which is more than 105% of its design energy.
