NTPC settles dues with Eastern Coalfields

April 11: Coal India Limited (CIL) subsidiary Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) has settled its pending dues issue with NTPC Limited, a senior official told ICMW.
"The issue with ECL has been settled and we are on the verge of reaching a settlement for the dues of Bharat Coking Coal Ltd (BCCL)," the official said.
The dues of Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) and Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL) are still pending, but these are likely to be settled soon.
"I am optimistic that NTPC’s dues-related issues with all the subsidiaries will be settled within the next 7-15 days," the official added.
Asked what the total dues of the CIL subsidiaries could be from NTPC, the official said, "The final figures will be arrived at after reconciliation and the issue will be settled within 7-15 days."
An NTPC official added: “We have settled our dues with ECL. Settlement with BCCL is almost done. The cases pending with NCL and CCL should be resolved soon.”
