NTPC signs Rs 3000-cr term loan to fund capex

December 9: NTPC Limited, the largest power utility of the country, on December 9, said it has signed a term loan agreement worth Rs 2,000 crore with HDFC Bank Limited and another term loan agreement with Syndicate Bank, worth Rs 1,000 crore, to part-finance its capital expenditure, the leading power utility said in a statement.

Both loan agreements have a door-to-door tenure of 15 years, the statement said.

The agreements were signed in the presence of K Biswal, Director (Finance), NTPC Ltd, the statement added.
