NTPC to develop second power project in Bihar

February 24: State-owned power utility NTPC will develop a 1,320-MW power project at Kajra in Lakhisarai district of Bihar at an investment of Rs 9,200 crore, said a statement from the Ministry of Power on February 24.
This is the second power project by the state-owned power utility after Batth power project in the state.
The proposed plant will have two units with 660 MW each.
In this regard, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between NTPC, Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited (BSPGCL) and Lakhisarai Bijlee Company Private Limited (LBCPL) on February 22, 2014.
