NTPC yet to make progress on procuring imported coal on C&F basis

July 28: NTPC Ltd has not made any progress on procuring 1.0 million tons (mt) imported coal on C&F basis for its Ramagundam and Simhadri power plants in Andhra Pradesh, an industry source said.

“Nothing has happened in this tender so far,” the source added.

NTPC had floated the tender in April and the last date for submission of bids was June 25.

ICMW had earlier reported that five companies had submitted their bids against this tender, but one bid was likely to be rejected leaving four in fray.
