Name change of project developers on "significant investment": SLC

March 5: The meeting of the Standing Linkage Committee (Long-Term) for Power, (SLC-LT) held in February has allowed name change of project developers in case of 'significant investments' already made in the project.

The meeting was held to take a decision on the formulations of guidelines for considering requests from project developers for change in the name, management, structure, controls etc).

The meeting, thus endorsed the Ministry of Power's recommendation that 50% of the project investment should suffice as "significant investment ".

Earlier, this proposal had been circulated amongst the ministries concerned and stakeholders and their comments received.
